TIME-LESS-SCULPTURES_TRIO_GROUP.jpg
In Carolina Borja's 'Time Less', each sculpture is 11ft high and approximately 4ft in diameter. The frames are custom welded steel. This work was commissioned by the City of Sugar Land, and reflects on the relationship between time, plastic consumption and plastic disposal. The sculptural installation is composed of more than 75% recycled material from Sugar Land. The hourglass shaped sculptures were constructed using different types of plastics reflecting on the time it takes for waste to decompose.
The work was exhibited at The International Arts and Culture Festival as well as Earth Day Celebration in Sugar Land TX.
Due to their size, each sculpture was photographed separately, with the final images being merged to one single image.
