19-year veteran arts administrator John Mangum took the role of Executive Director & CEO of the Houston Symphony in January 2018. Previously Mr. Mangum served as president and artistic director of the Philharmonic Society of Orange County in Irvine, California. He has also served as director of artistic planning for the San Francisco Symphony from 2011 to 2014 and in a similar role at the New York Philharmonic from 2009 to 2011. This portrait was created at Jones Hall, the performance home for Houston Symphony.
